Comment: I started attending Calvary Chapel when I moved down to Florida with my parents in 2004. We attended on and off until I moved out. Afterwards I was unable to attend due to my work schedule. However in 2018 me and my fiancé who had never attended a church or had any Christian influence in her childhood attended a service. From that point on we attended regularly either in person or online. I also served in the volunteer safety team for a time until my schedule changed again. Then that summer we attended a baptism for my fiancé and I was baptized again as well. My wife and I still attend regularly and love the services. Thank you for being a consistent presence and support system in our walk with Jesus Christ.

Comment: God brought my family and I to this place last summer when we moved here from East Melbourne. It is a very large church and it is very nice inside with things for people of all ages to get involved in.I Really like Pastor Dave... he was the first pastor I saw speak here, and I felt an instant connection with the church and the holy spirit, and his ministry is ultimately the reason that I personally keep coming back.I often feel that God speaks to me thru him.That being said....Its a shame that we rarely see him....there are maybe 4 other pastors or more that rotate every Sunday (they are very nice and good public speakers of course as pastors should be, but I feel that theyre not as spiritually gifted as Dave is....nor are the others as welcoming to everyone of all backgrounds and walks of life without excluding certain groups of people that some parts of the old testament may condemn...preaching their own personal religious agenda is a real thing with some pastors, and I feel like Dave is really the only pastor here who truly emanates what the original calvary church was about in the Jesus Revolution movie).If I open the app and see that someone other than Dave is speaking we will often skip going to church that weekend. On a side note...the kids ministry is also great for my 9 year old, and he loves that they have their own service....the cafeteria is also nice, and we often like to sit in there and watch the message while we eat.

Comment: Went to Calvary Chapel in Melbourne today and it was really a great spiritual experience how they welcomed us as new visitors..our 5 year old also had a great time in Sunday school doing so much in like an hour..nice music and songs, great sermon by the Pastor and met some nice people and Pastors after church and had lunch in their little cafe..it was such a lovely experience going here..would love to go here again. Comment: The situation with Pastor Marks departure has generated a strong and sometimes hateful wave of comments both here and on social media. My husband and I attended CCM for many years and know what a great teacher Pastor Mark is! He is loved in the community. I believe, however, that we should all be careful about the words of judgement spoken against the pastors, elders and staff at Calvary. The devil likes nothing more than to see ugly comments thrown around.Jesus is still in control and His divine authority and grace will prevail! The Lord can restore CCM and continue to expand His Kingdom. Meanwhile Pastor Mark is now teaching a large bible study and discovering new and awesome plans the Lord has for him!The discord at CCM seems to indicate that all in authority could not agree on what the Holy Spirit was directing in terms of leadership changes. But even the most faithful pastors, elders or Pastor Mark himself can face challenges when discerning what the Holy Spirit is directing. Remember.....we have heard Pastor Mark say that many times!! They are human like us and subject to the same things we all face as Christ Followers. We cannot assume that what we think should have happened is correct. The Lord will handle all things according to His divine Providence and only Jesus truly knows the hearts of those involved.We should all guard our tongues for our own spiritual protection. The Bible says let he who is without sin cast the first stone. As Christ Followers we are called to be the example for others!Please.... lets pray for Gods blessing over Pastor Dave and all the pastors/leaders at Calvary, pray for Pastor Mark and Linda and his Bible study, pray blessings of unity and protection over the church body as a whole! Lets do the praying and leave the judging to our merciful and just Lord Jesus.Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. Comment: I actually stopped going to Calvary Chapel BECAUSE of Pastor Mark. I didnt like the way he would tell people in the congregation that they would go to hell if they didnt act the way he said. He started to come off as arrogant and controlling. He also seemed to get very full of himself. Ive actually considered coming back since hes been gone. I liked some of the other pastors..like Pastor Dave!! I think the Elders made the right choice!

Comment: I really cant understand why folks have a problem when theres a separate ministry to administer the teaching of Gods word to their child/children, most church does that.Rather than sitting in the regular sanctuary and being bored, they get to sit with other kids like themselves and they learn together just like being at school.On the other hand, the parent/s can focus on Gods word without having to leave or get distracted.Adults please! Comment: One of my favorite criticisms of the church is, its too big! With an attitude like that, youll hate it in heaven! Jesting aside, no gathering of forgiven imperfect people (definition of church) is perfect. That said, P Mark Balmer and the associate pastors never fail to bring The Word to the people with practical application. Teaching and leadership is strong, so theres plenty of opportunity to practice loving others the way Jesus commands. Youll also find that the large group gathering is only the start. Dozens of small groups make up the backbone of daily living and following Christ. You cant do large group without small. Remember, you reap what you sow. Commit to sow much!

Comment: This church is friendly and loving. I love this place. I love the diversity of people of all kinds of ethnic backgrounds and spoken languages. Thats a picture of what Heaven will be like with all Gods people from all the world and all of history side by side worshipping and enjoying the presence of the God of All Creation. Comment: Best feeling in the world is to be excepted! And that I am at CCM. They except a diversity of peoples without bias or ridicule.I once wore tattered shorts and flip-flops. Hadnt shaved for weeks!My wife was seriously opposed but I wanted to see if I would get ridiculed, It didnt work.The speakers are great with animated enthusiasm!

Comment: This is one of the few churches that not only teaches from the Bible; they also teach that this is really about you having a personal, deep and very real relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. You will learn about what has been done for you. It was Jesus Christs suffering, death and the resurrection that seals your salvation through Faith. Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven.Ephesians 2:8-9 [NKJ]For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.Calvary also has excellent facilities for the children. Parents can know their child is as safe as is possible. All staff and volunteers who work with children are required to go through a background check before they are approved to work with the children. Nursing mothers can do so in the privacy of the room just for that purpose and still see the service on the TV monitor in that room. There is a person who will translate the service into sign language for the deaf. This church has something for just about everyone. If you have any questions call the church office. These people are just amazing and will do whatever they can to assist you. There are also many small groups within the church. Joining one of these groups will help you to get to know people very quickly.The bottom line is this; they live by what they teach. This church teaches what you need to know; Not what you want to hear. Good people dont go to Heaven; only SAVED people go to Heaven.

Comment: This church is full of LIFE!! Pastor Marc teaches about having a real relationship with God. They do not have memberships, or keep track of how many times you come or how much you put in the collection each week. I love this church and what it has brought into my life!
