Comment: This is a wonderful church! The Pastors and congregant volunteers are incredibly generous of spirit and deeds. I write this as a long-time Lee County Elections Poll Worker, who’s worked the Polls on 2 occasions at Alliance Church (which serves the community as Precincts 93 & 104) and has experienced this kind generosity firsthand. Known as “The Precinct that Feeds the Poll Workers,” not only are Poll Workers fed by the church with beautiful lunches and dinners, day-long snacks and beverages, but are fed in style, with impeccable attention to detail. Not only are sumptuous meals, snacks beverages laid out throughout the church beautifully - in colorful baskets, on bountiful tables - kind volunteer congregants are there to guide us to dining rooms, escort us to restrooms and also tidy up after us during our busy 14-hour work days. Everyone has a smile and expresses THEIR gratitude to US - !!! - for simply doing our civic duty. I’ve been a Poll Worker for 12 years and I’d like to add something that might seem like a “little” thing. But it’s something I couldn’t and wouldn’t have expected at any of the many polling places I’ve served: when my County-issued stapler broke on the busy day of 11/3/20, the Pastor himself was there for me, offering me his personal office stapler so that I wouldn’t be without that most needed tool. Not a “little thing” to me!I love this place, and am so grateful to the people there. They’re doing God’s work and serving the community at large with such generosity and beautiful kindnesses.

Comment: I had the pleasure of being on a panel for a panel discussion for area seniors at this amazing Church. The setup of the room was one that Ive never seen when I walked in to do these types of events. Usually when we walk into these events were spending the first hour or more setting up tables and chairs and trying to find tablecloths Etc, not at this church everything was set up and it looked absolutely beautiful. I had the pleasure of meeting Pastor Phil, and several other members of the church. What amazing people they all are! A huge kudos to Kathy Hudson ofChoices in living Adult Day Care for setting this up. This church and its congregation really cares about the area seniors, Children and Families. They have so many different programs reaching out to the community to assist them and to offer comfort and spiritual healing.

Comment: I attended the Community Yard Sale there yesterday, helping out in the Cat Rescue booth and I couldnt believe how gracious and generous the staff and volunteers were!They walked around ALL day in the blaring hot sun, passing out free bottled water, popcorn and cotton candy to the vendors. They even came around several times to say they had hot dogs and hamburgers inside for us(and then breakfast food earlier in the morning) !!I never made it inside and I happened to bring my own water, assuming wed be responsible for providing for ourselves, but I was just amazed by their kindness!!In the new-age world that we live in, where people seem to be more interested in taking and taking, it was such a pleasant surprise to see this.Thank you to everyone at Cape Alliance Church for giving up your Saturday to let all of us have the sale in your parking lot and for being such WONDERFUL hosts!!
