Comment: This church has quite a special place in our hearts. They were there for us with griefshare and powerplant right after my husband abruptly died and for that we cant begin to say thank you nearly a year and a half after his death we are only doing as well as we are all the way around because of this church, first Baptist in our city and one other church. We still attend every Sunday beach service online and love seeing wb preach.

Comment: Awesome atmosphere awesome church awesome fellowship and congregation. Lots of different times to attend and two or three Beach morning and sunset worship on the beach. There is something there for everyone. Thank you Destin Methodist Church. And some of the best music in town.

Comment: DUMC is a great congregation and beautiful, expansive facility, with many programs of all types for our local community, for all ages.Specifically the programs they have for children are fantastic.Destin School of the Arts for children and teens ages 2/3-18 is located within DUMC and is a fast growing arts school run by Keri & Chris Klaus who are equally fantastic, highly educated (and highly accomplished) as well as passionate about the arts. Classes range from painting/drawing, music, voice, piano, choir, musical theatre, ballet, tap, jazz and many more.Jacob’s Ladder Preschool/VPK is also located within DUMC and is by far the best program in Destin. Expect to be involved with school life/programs/shows/lunches/parties as this is not a daycare (drop off, pick up, “I don’t know the teacher’s name”) situation. A truly special place where children are cherished.What makes DUMC the best:If your child attends Jacob’s Ladder school, their DSOTA art/dance classes are integrated into their preschool schedule, and school administrators get the children changed in/out of proper attire & walk them to and from the arts/preschool building to the building. What more could a parent ask for?!!! It is such brilliant scheduling and doesn’t take additional evening time away from busy families. This perk also allows parents to tailor their own child’s weekly curriculum regarding art/dance classes (something our kids do not get enough of in the public school setting). This is a perfect example of how this pillar of our community continues to be so innovative, effective and functional for modern family life!

Comment: This church is so great. The cooked and served meals to victims of hurricane Michael, every day. But not just for them, but for the homeless or anyone who needed a hot meal. Everyone there was so welcoming and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.

Comment: As a visitor in Destin for the first time, I was told that DUMC offered a worship service on the beach at 7:30 am; it was the best worship service I ever had...all of Gods creatures came to worship with us, butterflies, dragonflies, sea gulls, and dolphins. It was so amazing and beautiful! The members of the church were loving, supportive, and beautiful people. The Pastor made a point to pray for those affected by Hurricane Irma and Harvey. The prayer he prayed brought comfort to me because we experienced some of the storms effects. If I ever have a chance to visit Destin again, I will definitely attend this service.
