Comment: I attended this church, and for a considerable time. People were pressured to leave their spouses, under the guise that they were unequally yoked when the spouse questioned something/no longer wanted to provide free services to the church/wanted to attend another church instead (this happened while I was there). Longstanding staff were removed and family members placed on the payroll, then given large raises (also happened while I was there; it was witnessed first hand by me and others, as is the case with everything I experienced here). I have personally seen leadership screaming uncontrollably at adults and children; it was known about, happened more than once in front of me and nothing whatsoever was done about it during the many years I attended. This is just my experience, and my opinion.Update: The owner has responded to the review I posted a year or so ago, so here is my update. Yes, I actually attended. Leadership may not remember everyone who attended for the twenty years they have been there, but I remember. I remember the first church split, the merger with the smaller church nearby, the church vote that was lost but someone became a leader anyway against the church bylaws, the passing of a leader from a blood clot during cancer treatment after getting a motorcycle, the changing of the church name, the installation of speed bumps in the parking lot after a Mazda kept speeding through, and everything else listed above that came after all this. I have provided the information in this update solely to establish that my review is based on my actual attendance over many years. My actual review is specific to this place as it is now structured, and does not rely on outdated information under previous leaders. My review is absolutely genuine, verifiable by more than just me, and reflects my personal experience attending.

Comment: Pastors Gary & Lynn Montecalvo DEMONSTRATE Christian family. Daughter Amy leads worship like an angel. Son Davids teaching is as effective as Garys. Garys kids Kianna, Micah, and Judah serve on the worship team.No PK syndrome in this family! They live the blessing.Pentacostal teaching stands on ALL Gods love letter, the Bible, with NO fear!Expect the POWER of Holy Spirit to manifest, and flow thru YOU.No need to beg God.We just RECEIVE what was already done for us on the cross.About 100 fearless souls today, sometimes more, getting inspired and challenged to USE our gifts and see blessings flow thru us.Watch a few great messages on the Facebook page.

Comment: What a wonderful place Destiny Church in Merritt Island is The pastor and his wife really know how to love their body of Christ yet still teach on the importance of obedience to follow Jesus command in the Bible that is Love the Lord , yourself and others. He is an awesome preacher and really does knew how to feed his flock. I am especially excited that he has an outreach program also because I get to volunteer to help with it 😉😃

Comment: Why does my church deserve 5 stars? bc i think my pastor is one of few that visits just about anybody in our congregation when they have a crisis. particular when ppl get sick in the hospital, he is there. the music is great too, and often the service has moments that are just moments you know God is changing lives. the preaching is great too. there are sermons that teach, comfort, melt hearts, and, probably the most important to me is there are also sermons that challenge, because i feel a lot of churches dont challenge anymore. i know i need challenging to become a better christian. we are very friendly and loving, and not judgmental. visitors of all race and background are welcome to join us.

Comment: Great place to find the one true living God working through his church. If your looking for a body of believers ready to please God through following the examples of Jesus Christ, this is it. There are many churches around brevard county that have the in groups, water down the Bible, and are spiritually dead. At Destiny Christian Church your treated like family, the Bible is preached and believed 100% with miracles and signs. Just like Jesus, the apostles, and the prophets challenged believers. When you worship God here, you know by the time you leave your entering the mission field. You will be challenged and given the tools to make a difference in this world.
