Comment: A few weeks after moving to Florida, my wife and I started our search for a church home.We visited First Baptist Port Charlotte because we were told it had a very diverse congregation and was highly visible in the community.We were greeted with open arms,friendly faces and a warm welcoming feeling when we entered the sanctuary.Above all, the sermon was outstanding.Ten years later, this pastor continues to deliver crystal clear teaching messages that has led us to become much more mature in our faith.Joining this church has been the best thing for us in our Florida experience and christian growth

Comment: My husband and I are “Snowbirds”. Integration into this church was effortless. We were welcomed here with open arms several years ago. And each time we return back here from the North , arms are extended again and again—-like Christ’s. It’s like coming Home. We’ve made so many new friends here who have enriched our lives. The teaching, fellowship and worship is not only outstanding, but genuine. It is truly evident that the people here have a real love and passion for the Lord Jesus Christ. We love being involved here. Thank you for allowing us to become a part of the family at FBC....

Comment: We have called this church home for the past 10 years and are so thankful for the faithful Biblical teaching. The worship service is engaging and gives us the ability to praise God with his people, to learn His word together, and provides opportunities to serve our local community, country and several foreign countries with the Love of Christ. I would highly recommend this church if you are looking for a place to worship the Lord. The word of God is taught faithfully and the people are very welcoming.

Comment: Ive attended FBC of Port Charlotte for many years. It is a welcoming place from first approaching the front doors to pastors often greeting in the pews! I love the variety of worship style opportunities for every age group with different service options. It has kept up with the changing times. However, the most important part is the God-centered messages each Sunday from our Pastors that challenge us to grow. FBC offers Connection Groups for all ages, Awana for the kids during the week and all types of Bible study to grow and to serve. Its a great place to serve!

Comment: The worship at First Baptist is what drew me in to this church 17 years ago. Since then, I have learned through Pastor Jims preaching that worship is more than just singing, its the entire Sunday experience of praising God through song, offering up His money as a sacrifice, and drawing near to the Lord through His Word...and therefore, learning as much as we can about Him. Its also the place where I found family. Yes, the people are nice, the music is great, and theres even free coffee, but worship is not about us. Its about Him. So if youre looking for a church that will change your heart and help you learn what the real meaning of worship is, this is it!

Comment: I thoroughly enjoy my worship at FBC Port Charlotte. Although I’m coming from different perspective, working as part of the Deaf Ministry, I am still able to feel the passion of the Music Team, choir, and the great teaching of the Word from Pastor Jim McCarty.Today was an exceptionally spirit-led service and if you were there, you could surely feel the presence of the Lord moving in this place. It was definitely a humbling and spirit-filled experience, and I’m thankful to my God for how He’s working in our congregation and through our Pastor.Pastor Jim, who always preaches the Word, thus sayest the Lord, was truly anointed today, and we were challenged not only by him, but by the conviction of the Holy Spirit, wanting and encouraging us to live a victorious life, in and through the Holy Spirit.Come and be blessed, and you will find that there is a service for all-child, youth, millennial, adult, and deaf.

Comment: I was extremely pleased to listen to Pastor Jims sermon last week. He teaches from the pulpit directly from the Bible in such a clear way that it is very easy to understand the Biblical text. This is the church to attend if you are looking to grow in your faith.

Comment: We’ve been blessed by this church since we started attending after our move to the area. We enjoy the convenience of three services, the children’s ministry to our children, the biblically sound worship and Pastor Jim’s expository teaching of the Word. The conviction, passion and honesty he brings to his sermons is refreshing. FBPC offers programming and bible studies for just about everyone. While the church is large, there are small groups everyone is encouraged to attend to unpack the sermons deeper and make personal connections with other believers. We also love the amount of ministries FBPC supports and we love being part of a church that is a good steward of its finances and gives back to others. We love that our children are well cared for and ministered to in Sunday school and in Awana.

Comment: A wonderful church family that was very welcoming. Three Sunday morning services make it very convenient to attend and each one has a slightly different musical vibe to accommodate a variety of tastes (traditional, contemporary, blended). Solid Biblical teaching from Pastor Jim and lots of ministry opportunities to get plugged in to - from local to international. The church has some very missions-minded folks and solid small groups that meet outside of the church.

Comment: I have been attending since I was in the nursery! The sermons are always gospel-centered and on point! I enjoy the friendly atmosphere and being apart of such an amazing ministry ! I serve in various branches of the church, and there are many service opportunities for others as well. If you are new to this are, this church is a great place to get started ! If yo love modern worship, and an upbeat experience, join us at the 9:30 service!

Comment: Good services with sermons that are easy to follow. Music is great at either service times that I attend, 930am and 1100am. Parking is good if early and I sit in the balcony so good seating. I world suggest to anyone new in the area...Im African Methodist but I still patronize and tithe at this church.
