Comment: Great church with preschool, elementary, middle and high school programs! Currently, Sunday School starts at 9 a.m. for all ages and the church service starts at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings, and the choir program for preschool to grade 5 as well as the middle school/high school choir, praise band, and orchestra practices at 6 p.m. The Sunday School and choir teachers really care about the kids and its so easy to park in one of the garages. There are womens, mens, and couples adult Sunday School classes. Find a welcome center helper on the first floor of either building (now called East and West buildings) and theyll help you get to a great Sunday School class. Real people living real lives relying on the Bible for their source of truth.

Comment: Ive been part of FBC Jacksonville and its worship ministry now for almost 2 years, and I absolutely love it! Ive never been in a church that welcomed me quite like First Baptist has. On top of that, to be part of a worship ministry like this one has been such a blessing. The choir/orchestra is truly like a family, and the leadership is second-to-none. Every week, we are led in truth-filled, God-honoring worship and get to experience musical excellence at the same time. Im also involved with the Student Worship ministry, and its such a great opportunity for students to learn more about worship and have fun with music. First Baptist makes Christ the center of Christmas and provides family friendly events through all of December to enjoy! Their Christmas Fellowship event was a blast! They had sleigh-rides, live orchestra, and even snow in Jacksonville!

It’s a fun time to gather with friends and family and connect with people in the community! Seeing everyone dressed up, passing out candy, and fellowshipping with each other truly showcases what this church is about!

Comment: I have friends who live in the area, and this is the church I visit when I am in town. I love this church, and I always look forward to going! Everyone I meet there has been welcoming and kind each time. The preaching is great. Easy to understand while still being rich with meaning and convicting (in a good way). It’s also been fun to see the church campus remodel progress each time I visit. I can tell they have worked really hard, and it’s so warm, open and inviting now. I can’t recommend a church more highly, if you are in Jacksonville you should check it out!

After being out of state for 8 years while my husband served in the Army, we decided it was time to go back. A lot has changed over the years, different programs, different people, less people, using less buildings, etc, but the one thing that has NOT changed is the Word. If you go to FBC, you will learn from the Bible, not the prosperity teachings that other places do.

They are one of the most influential entities in the Greater Jacksonville area and have stood firm on the local issues that keep the city aimed in the best direction possible. Praise God for this amazing Church. They also do the Passion Play for Easter and I tried to go every year because it is amazing.

Comment: We came for the Passion Play and also had lunch in there cafeteria the play was awesome aand they also had a market where everyone was dressed up like bible times my family and i had such a great time! Everyone was beyond friendly and very helpful, they had volunteers at every corner to help navigate to through the church. The lunch was delicious large portions great price and the dining room was all set up very nicely and somebody was always walking around to see if you needed some more drink or if you needed anything at all. Weve been coming to this play for years now and it just seems to get better and better!

God has blessed him with a good mind and has given him such insight into sharing the Word.During my Bible time when I come across a term that I dont quite understand, I stop and compare versions for better understanding (You Version is an excellent aid in making it easy to read, read along and stop, research and then return to complete the nook or chapter.). I know Bro. Brunson could readily explain the term with his vast knowledge of Bible times, cultures & history.I heard a rumor that he was leaving FBC. Comment: We love this church--were so drawn to Mac Brunson and his teaching of the word--he takes it straight from the Bible and doesnt mince too many words doing so.There is a service for everyone--if you cant do Sunday morning, theres Sunday night. And if you cant do Sundays at all, theres Wednesday service. Good groups, nice events for families and singles and just all around a great church that is doing Gods work.

Comment: A great Church! It does so many things to help people not just in Jacksonville, but all over the world. The congregation is caring, the pastor presents messages that are relevant and encouraging, the worship time is a good as can be found.Is it a perfect Church? Are the members and staff perfect? Nope, but it tries to be! Sometimes failing, but more often succeeding.

Comment: My husband and I love this church and the preaching of Pastor Brunson! We enjoy his preaching, because he teaches from the whole Bible, doesnt water down scripture and tells the truth! He encourages us to strive to do better, be better and follow Christ. Weve been faithful at a church since 1982 and this one is our favorite and plan on staying.

Comment: Watch the service this morning (5/24/2015) and listened to the message. I think you folks have gone beyond what Jesus was asking for and what the Spirit has engaged us all to do. Your pastors ending was summed up with the comment if you will go over to the side and meet with one of my pastors. I thought they were Gods pastors.Anyway - Gods Grace to you all.

Comment: My wife and I have been able to attend this church one time and were welcomed by such wonderful, charming, and helpful people. Weve decided to eventually move and make this our future home church and are praying for Gods leading in the matter. Why? Because every Sunday, as we watch by internet connection, we hear such God-only-honoring worship, a message from God through Dr. Brunson that always fills the spiritual soul, a virtual plethora of ministries and groups to become active in service for the Lord, and there are people at practically every Sunday morning service and evening service being baptized as a result of evangelistic efforts being done by those there at FBCJax.If anyone happens to read a negative comment about this church, just chalk it up to that person simply having a bad day or just might be reviewing through a critical, self-centered eye.
