Comment: This evening’s concert featured Giuseppina Ciara on harp, vocals and Jesse Martins, pianist.Ms Ciara has been the Sarasota Opera’s harpist for over 20 years. She performed some of her latest CD called A Ticket Home. Very eclectic and different combining pop and classical.Ms Ciara is an outstanding harpist and vocalist and the concert was excellent. The acoustics in the church were very good.Plenty of comfortable seats. Parking can be a bit of a challenge.Next concert is February 25 and all concerts are free.

Comment: My daughter has been attending ECC since the age of 2. Our experience at ECC has been nothing short of remarkable. Their teachers are loving, kind and committed to making their kids’ experience memorable. I would highly recommend ECC if you are looking for a wonderful, safe place for your child.

Comment: I grew up going to this church and always dreamed of having my wedding ceremony here. I was able to get married in the gorgeous sanctuary last week and am so grateful. The church was beautiful as ever, Michael the music director did an exceptional job on the organ music, and everyone I worked with was such a blessing. Thank you First Church!

Comment: AMICCO (Anna Maria Island Concert Chorus & Orchestra) & singers from 1st United Methodist Church joined forces to present a wonderful Christmas concert. The acoustics are great. They had valet parking. We all greatly enjoyed ourselves.

Comment: You will hear the most incredible music here - choir, organ, piano, soloists, and other instruments on occasion. The Pastor’s sermons are never more than 15 min., very enlightening, challenging and keep you involved. Every Sunday is an experience and I attend always with anticipation. An added plus, the people are very friendly.

Comment: Every member of this church nice and welcoming. My son also attends their child care center (Early Care Center) and I LOVE the entire staff! From director all the way to the teachers. Overall its more like being part of a family with the staff, parents and children and my son loves going there!

Comment: I attended the Celebration of Life for Marjorie Mock at the First United Methodist Church. I missed the prayers for her poor soul. It was a nice service and I liked the church and talking with the pastor. It was a sunny day and I took the pictures of the stained glass windows. Robert Wytas

Comment: The Early Care Center at First United Methodist Church is, in my opinion, the best daycare facility in Sarasota. I could not be more pleased with the care that my little girl has received there. We started when she was 3 months old and although it was difficult to imagine leaving her anywhere, knowing she was in such wonderful care made it easy. I went there on the recommendation of many friends and I continue to recommend it to everyone I know. Almost all of the staff have been there for many years, which is a statement unto itself. They always welcomed me to come and visit anytime and when I arrived, I always found my baby to be happy and well cared for. The staff in the infant room are amazing and in my opinion, are priceless. They are knowledgeable, kind and they truly love the babies in their care (and the babies love them back!)I cannot say enough about ECC - we have been happy from day 1 and now that my little one has moved up into the next class, she continues to thrive, learning new things each week and amazing us along the way. My only advice would be to get on the waiting list early because this daycare is in demand and often does not have openings (especially for babies!)
