Comment: Disclaimer to the review that I am about to leave: My views are not toward the church, just one extremely rude individual. Ok, now that is out of the way allow me to proceed. Today during the 11 AM service I was sitting in the upper right hand balcony area facing from the pulpit. After the music was over and we were being seated waiting for the pastor to begin speaking, a man in his 30s and his 3-4 year old daughter was sitting in the balcony very close to me and a few others. No big deal. His daughter begins climbing over the pews and running up and down the aisles all while the 30ish year old gentleman just sat there with his head buried in his cellphone. It was extremely disruptive and I eventually had to leave. It made me as well as many others extremely uncomfortable. I feel like there needs to be deacons upstairs keeping an eye out on things like this. What the most troubling part of all was that someone could have snatched that girl away and that gentleman would not even have known/cared. This was not the churches fault, this was the gentlemans fault. People, if you have young kids you need to watch them at all times. You need to have them by your side. We live in a very crazy world and not everybody has good intentions. Another thing that bothers me is that there are 2 dirt parking lots in the back. I wish that they would put asphalt down so that I dont get my dress shoes all filthy every time I come to church. That is half the reason I havent come to this church in nearly 7 years. This was my first time back in nearly 7 years. If these 2 things could be fixed I would consider rejoining. Anyone who shows up for the 11 AM service has to traipse through all of the dirt. I used to be a member but quit going because of personal things that came up. Hillcrest has excellent people and an excellent pastor. I do not dislike the church at all. Thank you.

Comment: I was there with my family to attend a band concert in which my grandson was a participant. The concert was excellent, and the church is large and very welcoming. This was during the Christmas season, and the church was decorated beautifully.

Comment: This is our home church, weve been going for 5 years. Good resources, lots of small group opportunities, kid ministries, clean facilities. Online presence includes social media, podcast and live streaming their services. Very friendly place to learn Bible-focused teaching, not topical or self-help sermons like some modern churches. The music is great too!

Comment: I dont go to church here but I visit often with my friends from Baptist Collegiate Ministries. And every time we go we are well taken care of! We go there after our weekly event for a meal, as well as, to play dodgeball, volleyball, ect. They are welcoming and friendly!

Comment: Everyone is amazingly friendly, polite, outgoing, happy, smiling, accepting, & welcoming.Youd think that with it being such a large church youd get lost in the shuffle but thats not the case here at all!They have more than one Sunday morning worship service time and have a balcony level in the auditorium. The church also has nursery service, childrens services, an indoor gymnasium, plenty of parking (with an area reserved for special needs as well as ample handicapped parking spots too).Easy to find, easy to get in & out of, and easy to find your way around.If youre looking for a church, give Hillcrest Baptist on 9 Mile Road a try. (They also have another location near Spanish Trail & Summit as well).

Comment: My mother and I just moved to Pensacola 6 months ago and have been looking for a church we could call home. After receiving a flyer in the mail promoting their Easter service, We felt drawn to Hillcrest. We attended their 11 am Easter service and it blew us away. The choir is amazing, the pastor is very genuine and the people are friendly and welcoming. With a sprawling campus filled with lots of ways to connect, even the most introverted believer will find something fulfilling here. We cant wait to go back next week!

Comment: The best Church I have ever been to.... my first experience with Hillcrest, was when my Sister-In-Law (Deannie Girl) invited me to a Womens Christmas gathering and it was absolutely amazing..... I have never felt as close to The Lord as I had when we(husband & myself) were members.....Everyone opened their arms and embraced us.... it was the best feeling.... Thank You Dear Lord for giving me Hillcrest & its members while I lived in Florida....

Comment: Love this church. Would recommend to any log term Christian. I personally do not like large churches because I like to think church should be a family and at hillcrest you definitely dont know anyone there. This place is great for someone who is shy. Despite the fact that its huge people make you feel welcomed. I have never been to a bible study but I have had friends tell me they love it and that their children love childrens church. Its a wonderful feelings to see so many people worshipping Christ all at once. The Easter service is fantastic. *only 4 stars because I do not enjoy being around so many unfamiliar faces*

Comment: Hillcrest loves the Lord Jesus and also loves people. Each week the gospel is declared and lives are changed. Hillcrest is a very welcoming place for all ages. Whether you are an infant, toddler, grade-schooler, young adult, a middle-aged or elderly person, Hillcrest is an excellent place to find and follow Christ, and grow in a community of loving Christians. Not how the world thinks that I should be not how some of the church in doctrinal hypocrisy would try to mold me to be they just let me be just me. One among many a small grain of sand at the ocean shore of Gods majestic endless sea that simple. Hillcrest works for me i belong here and I am accepted just fine and i can just be me a little worker bee. Working with teens and children is what I do best because God keeps me child like for His glory and so that I can relate to others in pain and hungry for Gods word. I have lots of sisters here who try to help me mature in the areas of my life that have hindered my spiritual growth in my past in loving kind ways.Hillcrest has grandparents they are called Olive Baptist a bit more conservative for those who need their needs met in a little bit more southern kind of a way. Every true believer is a part of the body of Christ no matter what church they belong or dont belong yet to. WE all have gifts and talents the greatest of these is LOVe if we have real love for our God we will desire to learn to love people back to life the way our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ taught us to.If you have a friend or family searching for a place to belong and a church family to call their own check us out we have all kinds of loving cool fun genuine gentle souls in every age group. Real people doing the very best we can who get it that together we R better. That together we learn to just love leads to forgiving healing and finding new hope to begin life anew.
