Comment: While visiting the St Petersburg area for business, I was looking for a Baptist church to attend for the two weeks I was in town. I decided to visit the Indian Rocks Baptist Church.While no church can replace your local church, Indian Rocks was a wonderful place to visit and it met all my expectations. Friendly church members and they welcomed me as one of their own.Wonderful service, I thank them for their hospitality and look forward to visiting next week.

Comment: I just left church this morning (June 18th second service). Topic on Dying. This is father’s day.My caregiver was with me, being the second time he accompanied me, he was so excited about coming back.Walking out of church he immediately voiced that he was sad and angry. His father had died and he was a thousand miles away from his daughter. He voiced, why would he have chosen (not the subject matter) but as to why he would would us today, of all days, to speak of death and dying when he was expecting a positive more uplifting message to be delivered, regarding the issues and joys of fatherhood, and the like!He was upset as to mention first, that he didn’t understand a thing Pastor Jeff said, and that he didn’t want to come back.He is a 35 year old man, that is struggling to find purpose in life and having the hard times, as Pastor Jeff touched on in his service. My heart just sunk as he verbalized just how painful sitting there was to him.As for myself, I too, was a little confused as to the subject matter delivered today. But because I was not at the same level of pain regarding his unresolved family history, it shed a different perspective. Which left ME confused as to what I heard and understood as to the relevance of it all.My understanding as i see it, is there are teachers and preachers in ministries. Paster Jeff is the former. But somehow I missed the mark on this one.I continue to be spiritually fed and love being apart of the Indian Rocks Family. Comment: Celebrate Recovery service is on Mondays and on Sundays there are two services. A thrift shop is on site among other amenities, including spanish services. The first Monday of each month dinner is at a low cost. For first comers, you can even sign up to have dinner with the Pastor. Indian Rocks Church is an excellent church for fellowship and worship.

Members were welcoming and they got delicious smoothies at their cute Cafe. My daughter LOVED the childrens church and that is a huge deal for me! Comment: Beautiful facility. We were here for a Gaither Vocal Band concert so I cant comment on the church but the staff present for the concert was professional and courteous. There really isnt a bad seat in the house and the 3200 seat sanctuary was packed out for the sold out concert. Bill Gaither sets the bar for Christian music in America and has handled that responsibility well for over 50 years.

Comment: This is a wonderful church with good people doing great works. We found this church during hurricane Irma because we needed a shelter where we could bring our cat with. They treated us so kindly, providing 3 hot meals a day and keeping us safe and occupied. The sense of community and love was what made us decide that this was going to be our regular church. I recommend anyone go at least once.

They have so many things to offer for any age groups to get involved in. Every time I go there I feel at peace with myself like nothing will harm me there. Sometimes I feel a little bit too much relaxed I sure dont want to fall asleep during service. I could listen to the pastor talk for hours

It is a congregation that is very friendly and loving and has small connection groups to ensure great fellowship and friendship. Comment: My son brought me to this church because he goes to the IRCSchool but it is the small group Mission Possible which makes me stay and feel at home. In early spring I attended very rewarding parenting classes given by Pastor Jeff and his wife Martha which touched many aspects. Will always remember the analogy Martha quoted, The husband maybe the head of the family but the the woman is the neck :) Wish they could write books on parenting one day because Im positive many will be blessed from it.

Comment: I was there for the born to be brave event.The church was really nice. The born to be brave event was a little bit on the younger kids side my 15 year old asked me why we came to something for preschoolers.However I believe it will get better as they do it longer. My daughter though loved Seeing Keeper Girls,even though it says up to 12 and she is 13.The people I saw from the church were friendly and one of the pastors opened us with prayer. But did not get to know.too much about the church.Although it is definitely a mega church I ft like I would try it if I was in the area on Sunday. I felt like if I didnt like it nobody would notice me leaving.

This last sermon they had there pastor that was there from 1971 to 2008 this man was the most passionate pastor Ive had in my life. His points where extremely clear and hit home for me. Love this place, it keeps me grounded.

Comment: This church provides a plethora of programs to help you in your christian journey from weekly small group meetings to over seas mission teams. This church is a large church with lots of seating and parking, however, the pastor does well to meet every new person who attends and makes each person feel at home. They also have a full Cafe and and Christian store located inside. One thing I greatly respect about this church is that the Pastor speaks very respectfully but does not try to caudle our feelings like many other new age pastors. He speaks the truth and reads it straight from scripture.

Comment: Uodate October 2017.A swap of the Sunday morning services occurred in October 2017. The HD (Loud) service now occupies the 1045 service. This service is more rock and roll concert style and is entirely too loud and dark for many. There are also less seats in the 1045 service because they installed dark curtains at row JJ.If you like a more quiet orchestra and choir service, the new 1045 is NOT for you. The 1045 service is more younger and less older in attendance.Parking is tougher now at 1045 also. And this is considering it is still before the arrival of the non florida resident transient snow birds have arrived. Once the winter transients return, parking might be more of a nightmare.If you liked the choir orchestra and less head banging contemporary service, you need to come to the 0845 oclock service now.The sermons are the same, but you need to pick between the QUIET 0845 or the LOUD 1045 service.Original review from November 2016:Ive been to all 50 states and know it is hard to find a Christian church that preaches and lives in the true sense of His word. If youre looking for a church like that, you need to come here.
