Comment: Pastor Nick’s bible study on Luke was theological and pastoral. I am thankful for my visit and his welcome was kind. He even gave me some of his home-harvested honey as a welcome gift. As a reader of scripture for 30+ years, I was encouraged and challenged. Look forward to returning. Praise God for biblical teaching.

Comment: My family and I were on vacation and went to church here on a Sunday evening. Enjoyed being in an independent Baptist church even in Marathon. The pastor and his wife are very friendly. They’re doing a good work in a tough area.

Comment: What a wonderful, spirit filled congregation! My husband and I are in the keys for vacation and we’re warmly greeted by church members, the pastor and his wife. The pastor presented the word direct from the Bible with a very practical application. Encourage you to visit!

Comment: The goal of Marathon Baptist church is to point people toward the truth. 1. All people have broken Gods law. 2. Therefore all people deserve punishment. 3. Jesus Christ sacrificed himself so we would not receive the punishment we deserve. 4. If you believe that Jesus is God and that He is perfect, that he lived a perfect life, died, and rose from the dead, then you are saved from Gods wrath and punishment. You are saved from eternal death and will one day live with God in heaven.

Comment: I loved this little church! We were on vacation and decided to attend church while we were in Marathon. The parishioners greeted and welcomed us at the door and made us feel welcome. The service was delivered in a way that we could take it home and use in our daily life and the Pastor was warm and welcoming and easy to talk to. We will be back when we are in town next time.
