Comment: On vacation from Indiana this church was recommended to me and I could not be more thankful. What a wonderfully inviting, welcoming, and Holy Spirit driven church! From the moment you enter you will feel at home and like you belong. I applaud every single person volunteering and serving here; they are doing it right. I left feeling moved. Comment: Both times I’ve been have been similar in experience: warm, welcoming, and very kind.They even offer quality bibles (for free) & tasty sweets.But most importantly, praise and worship was on point 🔥 and the preachers word always aligns right up with scripture which is what it’s all about. Comment: Oceans is the first church Ive attended in my young adult life that has become a home. Pastor Michael and his wife Jaime are mature, grounded, hilarious Christians. They are refreshingly real, fun, and down to earth. They set a genuine tone for the Church that I had never experienced before. Worship is always great, and sermons speak the Truth. However, if you dont like laughing Pastor Michaels preaching style will not be for you haha Ive made some of my closest friends through the Young Adults group at the Church and have personally come to know and love a majority of the staff. Definitely check Oceans out if youre vacationing or new to town! Its one of the most vital parts to my relationship with Christ. This is the kind of community God made us for.

Comment: If you want to feel the holy spirit moving in Destin Florida make your way to oceans church! There’s a sense of community in the room that you can’t help but want to be a part of. They provide community outreach opportunities as well as mission works to spread the good word as intended. I can’t say enough good things about this place! With three services to choose from Sunday mornings and multiple chances to gather through the weekdays such as morning coffee, young adult and youth nights, there’s a place here for everyone.

Comment: 8 months ago we felt as if we were being led to the Emerald Coast. We prayed that God would lead us to the right church that not only unashamedly preaches the Word of God with lots of compassion and grace, but also a church that we would find community both for us and for our four kids. Within 2 weeks, we were at Oceans. I have never felt more apart of a community as I have here. Looking forward to seeing how God uses this church plant to reach more people, not just in the Destin area, but throughout the world.

We loved our church back home in Michigan and didn’t think any church we found down here would top it. We were mistaken. Oceans is amazing. Our very first day there, not knowing anyone, Pastor Michael came up to us and introduced himself. He was very welcoming and then proceeded to give an amazing message. We were hooked from day one. The community, the worship, the sermons. If I could give more than five stars, I would. I highly recommend trying it out if you’re in the area.

Comment: We’ve been coming to Oceans now for the past year and it has been one of the most refreshing congregations we’ve been able to be apart of in a very long time. The pastor and his wife personally greeted us the first week we were there and our entire family has been serving in different capacities within the church ever since. It was very refreshing feeling at home somewhere and immediately welcomed into the congregation. Pastor Michael is hilarious and has such an amazing perspective of God from his 20+ years as a worship pastor. Our whole family calls Oceans home now and serves within the church and even on missions. I would highly encourage anyone looking for deeper relationships within the body while diving deep into the Word of God to visit Oceans Church.

However, we felt VERY awkward walking in the door because the people did not make a point to make us feel welcome. We all stood around feeling totally AWKWARD until we walked into the church to sit down. They need to work on getting a greeter team. Other than that, it was really good! Small church, but solid in Bible and has depth/maturity. We were all glad we attended that Sunday.

The staff and community are so genuine and friendly (they authentically care about you and want to get to know you), the messages make me feel so seen and are backed up by scripture, and the coffee is to die for. Each message touches on the gospel as well, so no matter what Sunday you visit, even in the middle of a sermon series, youll always hear the good news of Jesus! Kids church is also a blast - they really prioritize the safety of your kiddo and have a blended balance of message to play time. I 10/10 recommend getting involved in their groups too. They have a weekly mens burger group (that Im a little jealous of), a young adults bible study (the absolute best and easiest way to make friends as an adult out of college/high school/etc), worship nights with unbelievable talent and more!

Comment: This is a phenomenal church! The passion and the conviction of the pastor plus his humor drove his bible based message home. The church is clearly a community and are dedicated to bringing Jesus to people. I came as a visitor on my work trip and decided to attend after attending another service at a different church earlier. The contrast of the message and the focus in this young church (2 year anniversary today) with the other church was something God clearly wanted to show me. I say that because both churches happened to speak on the same Bible passage and the difference struck me so strongly. Lead pastors are anointed and genuine. The team is relatable and funny but not judgey or hypocritical. When you go to Oceans it feels right, it feels like the word of God. The forward thinking and innovativeness creates curiosity about what’s next. The kids ministry was spot on. Secure check in and out and had lots of excitement. Oceans just feels like home. It feels like the kingdom of God than maybe some of the other churches that have a certain “status”Janetis and I have had some really cool talks and laughs. I feel like I know his heart and could see calling this place our church home. Comment: I think I have finally found my home with this church. Pastor Michael and his wife Jamie are always so welcoming. The music is phenomenal. I love pastor Michael stories my teenaged lids are also enjoying this church. So if you are looking for a new church. Give it a try

Comment: The first thing I realized about Ocean’s church was the authenticity of the Pastors and the people. You could tell immediately that their hearts are for the people of their community. One thing that stood out was that each week they pray for another local church and their Pastors in the community. Having a church that is about more than just what is inside the four walls is refreshing. What a wonderful place to gather and worship the Lord.

Comment: Oceans is an awesome place to worship! Pastor Michael and wife, Jaime, could not be more humble and genuine. They deliver messages based on the Word of God and use great illustrations to keep you engaged. The worship will move you as the power of His presence is definitely at Oceans!

Comment: Oceans is wonderful! Friendly, loving, Bible teaching church! Family friendly with childcare and youth group. It took 1 visit to make connections and friends. The Pastors are great teachers with a lot of wisdom to share. You wont regret giving this church a visit!

We were looking for one that taught from the Bible and after two years we were invited to a new church in Destin called Oceans Church pastored by Michael Janetis and his wife Jaime . We were met with warmth and friendship and after several weeks we decided to make this our church . Please come join us and see how loving this church is .

The worship brings you into His presence and Michael proclaims the word in such a way that the Holy Spirit brings healing to your heart. Comment: Michael and Jaimie are two of the friendliest people you will ever meet. Their love for the Lord and for people is evident in all they do. You will feel very welcomed and “at home” when you visit Oceans. I feel so confident in knowing when my grandkids come visit me they will be happy in the kids service, as they tried it already and love it!!! The music will move you to tears some times and shouting out others. Side note...but it’s so awesome that the church has a coffee bar and treats. I would highly recommend Oceans Church.

Comment: We felt welcomed the first time we ever visited oceans. They quickly became family and we are so thankful God put OC in our path. The worship and word is so good and the children’s ministry is just what we wanted for our kids. Come check us out!
