Comment: Port Orange Christian Church has been my family and home for 5 years. The people of the church are so friendly, there are many small groups to join. I love the amount of outreach to the community. My son and I work at serving the homeless in the area through the church. We have also participated in festivals, car shows, community fairs while representing the church. My son is 8 and loves the Sunday school, Miss Ellie is so excellent. There was an unfortunate circumstance that happened in May with Pastor Tom LaHue (whom we all loved his services) resigning due to conflicts with the Elders. We are all human, and we all have faults. I cant comment on what the situation really is, as I dont really know all of it, but Port Orange Christian is a Godly church and the spirit is there always. I love it there, and hope for the church to revive better than ever in the next few years. Hope you will join us sometime for a service, and find this to be your church home too.

Comment: I have visited this church a few times now and I love it now more than ever! The church focuses heavily on community and is always having outreach events. The staff is so thoughtful and has such a heart for Jesus. Im seeing a lot of bad reviews after Tom stepped down, but if Im honest I think the church future is much brighter now. I sat through about 2 of his sermons and they felt more like a monologue than the gospel. I truly feel like the church future is brighter now and will have a much greater impact on the community around it! Good work elders!!

Comment: Pastors are refreshing and knowledgeable of scripture and a sound biblical doctrine. People and staff are friendly and genuinely care about their brothers and sisters in Christ as well as visitors alike! Very active in the community and missions.Praise our Lord and Savior!

Comment: Last Thanksgiving I and two other friends were ask to eat with the the church congregation. We did, and have never been treated better by any one. This is a great group of people who cared for everyone and wanted to make sure everything was okay. I can say the food was a 10, no one could have done any better. Again I would like to thank you for allowing us to spend the Thanksgiving day lunch with your congregation. Jimmy

Comment: My husband and stepson and I were looking for a church that was not only close to home, but was a place that simply preached the Word of God and loved and served people like the early church did. Two years ago, we found that in Port Orange Christian Church. Love is not just something that is talked about there... it is alive, well, and tangible in the way we fellowship and serve one another and our community. Everyone is welcomed, no matter where one has come from in life, no matter what their worldview is, and the small groups are a great, non-intimidation way for people to truly get to know one another and genuinely care for one another’s needs. I encourage anyone who is looking to grow in God and find a loving church body to come visit us here at POCC... you might not want to go anywhere else!

Comment: I have been in and out of many churches, most are so fake, they act as if they want to be your friend. Not this one, at least not for the pastor. The church was great, but even though pastor Tom, had his kids waiting for him after bible study, he really took the time to ask questions that were genuine and real. He listened intently while I told about me and my past, we prayed. For the first time in my life he explained it all so I could understand it. I had tried several times in years past to give my life to the Lord, this was different this time was real. He baptized me with his family present, and for the first time I felt truly a part of a church family. Now I know it will only get better from here, if I stay in the word. I dont get home much, but I will say this, this is definitely the place to be when I do. Thank You so much pastor Tom.I really had doubts at first, because of the reviews that were negative. Let me just say thats a fog, Im not saying that their experience was wrong, just a bad experience interpretation misconstrued. Give it a chance I did, and I believe God leads us where we belong. Dont take my word for it, try it yourself and form your own opinion. As for me, the fist time was incredible.

Comment: Ive been going to POCC since before it was built and I wouldnt ever go anywhere else! The people there are my family and are so involved in the community and helping those less fortunate. Our Bible study groups are awesome and there are many to pick from. Gods word is spoken in there through Tom and His love shines throughout!

Comment: We have been a part of the family at POCC for about 11 years. In that time our kids were part of the youth group, one of our sons played guitar in the worship team. We have been active in youth ministry, childrens, ministry , worship team, bible study.This church has a lot to offer.... we love the staff, Dr. TOM LaHue teaches Gods Word in a practical but applicable style. This is a family church that loves each other, loves the community, and shows that love in very practical ways.Would recommend this church to anyone and everyone. LOVE THIS CHURCH!!!

Comment: Back in 2004, I moved to Florida for college. Since I was a single dad, I had to work to support my son while attending college too. This church was generous in helping me find work and helping out with tuition! Ever since we moved out of the area so I could begin full-time ministry, we have returned to Florida for vacation every year. Anytime we are in the area on a Wednesday or Sunday, or if there is an event happening, we show up and the people remember us and treat us like family! It is almost like we never moved away! Great church, great people, great ministry!

Comment: Was a member of this scripture based church for approx. 11 years. Here you are loved as an individual worthy of Godly and brotherly love. Active in community as well as long distance missions. Children are a precious commodity here and are given loving and God driven instruction. It is a fast growing congregation in Christ, looking forward to growth on a larger assembly ground. The Elders are compassionate and approachable and immersed in the Word. I am so blessed to have been a member. When we relocated to a new county, I knew exactly how to look for a new Godly led congragation!

Comment: When we first started going, we didnt know anybody, but they welcomed us like weve been there for years. The pastor Jim is absolutely wonderful and the people are lovely.So if youre looking for church, this is the one.❤️🙏
