Comment: Been going for over 2 yrs.pastor Glen and Sam are great. Everyone right down to the other attendees sitting across the isle, make you feel like family. The pastor here preaches the Bible so if you want somewhere that will tell you something contrary to the Bible it probably not gonna happen here. When I do have to mis a day I count the days til I can go back. Thank you God for this Church and Everyone that attends, they are family

Comment: Wonderful place to go and worship the One, True King. The music is wonderful, the people are great, but the service is AMAZING! The Lord has given Pastor Riggs a wonderful understanding of the Bible, and every service he preaches is filled with the completely inspired Word of God. The first time I walked through those doors, I knew the presence of the Lord was in that building, and it still is. This church is a place filled with love and joy, where people acknowledge the fact that they are sinners saved by the Grace of God. Our pastor is a loving man, who cares for everyone. The people greet each other with a smile. Great place to grow in your faith.Thank you, Pastor Riggs!😊Acts 16:5And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.

If you are looking for a KJV Bible preaching church that will not sugar coat the gospel, then Starlight Baptist is for you! Pastor Riggs believes in the “Three to thrive” principle, so services are Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and Wednesday evenings. There is a bus ministry that will pick up families from all over the central Florida area to bring them to church, as well as a street ministry that feeds the homeless and underprivileged in downtown Sanford. The church also hosts a local Friday night RU group, for those struggling with addictions and other issues of life. This church is the real thing and is very much alive in the Word. Please consider stopping by and seeing why this church has grown tremendously in the 30 years it has been around, and why the folks here love it and their pastor so much!!!

Comment: Starlight Baptist Church, Street Ministry, which meets every Saturday at Ft. Mellon Park @ the Duck Pond. There is live gospel music, Bible preaching. Preaching starts at 11:a.m.On Nov. 17, 2018, we had our annual Thanksgiving Luncheon, Evangelist John Bailey, gave a message on Giving Thanks to the Lord. John holds the world record in speed and accuracy with whip and fastest knift throw.The meal was Turkey, stuffing, gravy, collard greens, mixed veggies, cranberry jelly, yeast rolls, pumpkin pie, soda and water. We also passed out blessing bags ( hygiene items, socks, wash clothes, etc..) and blankets. We served 82 meals, 5 people accepts the Lord,(thats what it is all about).I want to thank everyone who worked so hard, donated items and money to make this Thanksgiving Luncheon a hugh success.Normally we serve grilled hot dogs, chips, cookies, soda and water.All are welcome.

Comment: In 1989 I came to Starlight with my family and I heard Dr. Glenn Riggs give a sermon filled with stories from his time growing up on the farm in Arkansas. My family and I are still listening to these stories and more. Pastor Riggs is the best teacher and speaker anywhere. In addition to great teaching from the Bible, Pastor Riggs lives what he teaches. He and his family have been great examples to my family and that means a lot.Starlight is a Fundamental Independent Evangelical Baptist Church that uses the 1611 KJV Bible. When you walk in you will find the people friendly and inviting. The church has many programs for people of all ages. Starlight loves visitors and runs buses to pick people up each Sunday.
