Comment: Very Welcoming, Warm and Friendly!My family and I have been visiting this church for 3 years now and we love it here. We love the kind people and the beautiful atmosphere. The messages are all Christ-centered and just lovely.My kids are being taught the teachings of Jesus, and they get to sing in the children’s choir (see cute photos) and the have made great friends.We love this church!!

Comment: Our family are all members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is normal that when a person moves to a new address, your local unit is assigned by that new address. We knew we were coming to Florida for only a short time. I reached out to 8 bishops in the area by email. We needed to find housing and I was hoping to get insight into the area before we arrived. The only one to answer was the Bishop of this ward. He provided the insight I needed, was understanding, and very helpful. Then, through no intervention of his, and only my high-level selection criteria, the miraculous thing that happened was the agent I used found a property that was within this unit! I think it was divine inspiration, because the other units he also proposed were not so great. We went with it! The ward was immediately welcoming. They are great communicators and use the Church systems for scheduling, and getting the word out! Within a week or so of arriving, the Elders Quorum Presidency scheduled a visit in our home - and the Relief Society Presidency also introduced themselves. The Bishop loves the youth - and they love him. It is a large ward. The stake is also well organized and gets to your temple recommend interviews timely. They asked us to help with an assignment. We felt loved. Most of all, I could tell that everyone cares and try’s their best to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I’ve heard that there are judgmental people in the ward…but I haven’t run into this. Unfortunately, we have to leave soon, as my work takes me all over the country. Our kids made good friends here. It’s a good place to be. Come and see!

Comment: At our church “We talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, …that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.” We have been attending the Avalon Ward for over a year now. We appreciate all the men and women leaders who make our meetings uplifting. We have many visitors each week. All are welcome. See you there.

Comment: So I am not an active member of the church but I am definitely considering being a part of it. My wife and I just moved to the area and 5 members of the church are neighbors underneath us. Within 10-20 minutes of moving stuff up to the third floor of the apartment in the 90+ (possibly 100) degree weather, these young men came over and asked to help us. They did not ask for anything just did it for the soul purpose of helping. It was one of the most single kindest things that anyone could ever do and especially since my dad at 61 years old was helping and just had surgery on his back. My wife and I where considering joining a church once we moved and I’m pretty sure these young men just decided where we would like to possibly join. Thanks again for the help and I hope to connect with you all more in the future.

Comment: Great congregation! We visited from out of town and the sermons were very uplifting and focused on love and on Christ. The congregants we spoke to were all very welcoming and warm. Im sure the building is a packed in the summer with the disney crowds, but in the fall it was easy to find a seat.

Comment: Warm and welcoming group of people. Simple services composed of the sacrament, hymns, and testimonies of Jesus Christ by members. Active youth group and religious school. Young traveling missionaries help spread the gospel and large womens and mens groups focus on doing charity for others. Services on Sundays start at 10:00 am.
