God brought my family here in 2001 and over the years when I turned my back on God, He’s always drawn me back here. The people here are more than family. Comment: This church has been a constant my whole life. In my childhood years my family would visit once or twice a year whenever we were in town visiting family. When I became an adult and life took course I had the amazing opportunity to move here and join this church, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The people have a genuine heart to see healing and salvation brought to your life and welcome everyone with open arms! So much so that many of the people that were practically strangers 4 years ago are a second family to me now.Pastor Meyer and Pastor Jeremy are such a great shepherds and preach so clearly from the Word of God. This church is dedicated to making sure you have the resources necessary to live for Christ. We live life together. I have so many wonderful friendships here and enjoy serving Jesus with these people.I came to Victory Chapel a lonely, broken-hearted single mom who wanted so deeply to be loved for who I was and that is exactly what I found at this church. Comment: God brought me to this church a little bit over 11 years. I grew up religious, never felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit in the religion I was part of. The devil is doing a great job making folks believe that they can live a life pleasing the flesh and they wont face the consequences; WRONG!!! I thank the Lord for bringing me to a church where the clear Gospel message is being preached, so my heart can get its regular check up. Church cannot save you, but church can certainly help you stay saved; This is what Victory Chapel has been doing for me for the past 11 years. I can be a better Christian, a better husband, a better father and a better worker today thanks to what the Holy Spirit has been doing in me since Ive gotten saved in our church.Ephesians tell us that from Him, we are joined and fitly framed together. After getting invited out to one of their plays and later finding out it was a church, I knew that it was a sign from God. The people there were SO genuine about their faith, tightly knitted, and team-oriented. Almost to the point that youd think everyone there was related, like I did. Comment: Almost 27 years ago I was a young, scared, single man who was serving our country on his first overseas deployment on an aircraft carrier in a hazardous area. One night I had a dream that I witnessed a nuclear attack and I knew I was going to die in mere seconds - when the shockwave hit I woke up in my bunk. My first two thoughts were that I was glad I was alive, and glad I wasnt in hell - I was a sinner and I knew it.I started seeking God, and as soon as I got to Jacksonville I tried looking for a church. Wow there are many of them! I gave up, but God didnt give up on me. Not long afterwards someone from Victory Chapel shared the Gospel to me in the barracks, so I went out to a service that weekend. I was blown away by the feeling of love and genuineness that was there, and committed my life to Jesus Christ.That was April 29th, 1995, and for over 26 years I have had the great privilege to be a part of the great things God has done for our community through this group of people, their pastor and his family. I met my wife of 22 years there, had two children, received support and encouragement through difficult times (life is hard) and am still going on strong for Jesus.It still amazes me what this church does with their Arena theater and various other incredible events they put on throughout the year. Not only that, but the church members are the ones involved in them! This truly is a special place to serve God.

Comment: 22 years ago, I was a newly saved teenager searching and trying all different kinds of churches around town. I was specifically praying for God to lead me to a church where young people like myself were doing something with what they believed. So when two guys from Victory Chapel knocked on my family’s door and invited us to a small concert that the church was putting on that night in our neighborhood, I went. Sitting there at the concert, I thought to myself- Wow! This is it. This is where God wants me to be. These people are DOING something with what they believe! 22 years later, I am so grateful that Pastor and Bridget Meyer followed the Lord’s leading 25 years ago. They have labored to build our church on a solid, Biblical foundation. Our church strives to be like the church modeled in the book of Acts- keeping Jesus first and loving people second, (which by the way, Jesus said are the 2 greatest commandments), and engaging in discipleship and world evangelism.I liken our church to the Army’s frontline forces. On the frontlines, the Army is battling the enemy up close and personal. There are assaults and even casualties on the frontlines. The spiritual enemy of the church (Satan) does not sit idly by as Jesus saves precious men and women. He will assault the church, accuse the church, whatever he can do to discredit what the Lord is doing in and through the church body here at Victory Chapel. But there is also great victory on the frontlines! Not only are we challenged to grow in our relationship with Christ and preached Godly doctrine, but we also get to witness the Lord’s great salvation up close as well. To see lives completely transformed- people set free- is truly amazing and worth the fight. God’s grace and redemption meets people right where the battle is the greatest. Those of us that have been attending Victory Chapel for a while may have made some mistakes and not done everything right over the years. No church is perfect for we are all human. But by God’s mercy, He is still able to work through us and in our midst. Over the years we have witnessed people being delivered of drugs, alcohol, habits, addictions, disease, etc… We have witnessed great healing miracles and lives changed for the better. This does not happen because we are such great people- on the contrary; we know we are just sinners saved by God’s grace. It happens because we have invited the Lord to come touch His people and speak to us. And over the years, as the leadership has modeled a spirit of redemption and reconciliation, that has worked in God’s people as well.Other churches have other callings, I know. Some are called to help the poor, some to prison ministry, some to other ventures. There is nothing wrong with that. But for me, I am grateful that Jesus chose to bring me to a church on fire for Him and doing something about it!

When I first came out to this church, I was looking for a place to fit in. I found not just a place, but a church family for the last 16 yrs now. One of the things that caught my attention was that it was genuine. Not fluff. Pastor Meyer and Pastor Jeremy preach from the Bible! They are people who are down to earth whom you can talk with. Comment: What an awesome church!! 11 years ago I cried out to God on my bedroom floor miserable at the condition my life was in. I asked Him to send me a good church and some good friends and the very next day someone from Victory Chapel walked up to me on the street and said God spoke to them to invite me to church and witness to me about the love of Christ! I went to church that Wednesday and gave my life to Jesus Christ and have been going faithfully for 13 years now. I love my church, I love my Pastor and I love my church family. Its so awesome to be a part of something that is alive and moving and making an impact in the lives of others. I met my wife at the church and we were given great counsel on how to date in purity, have a good foundation and have been married for 9 years now with 2 girls and 2 boys. Between the preaching, counsel from my Pastor and my church brothers and sisters I have so much help keeping my marriage and family Christ-centered! When I have fallen or made mistakes I have felt such a grace of God and help from my Pastor and brethren to get back on my feet and keep tearing it up for Jesus and chasing after His heartbeat which is to seek and save the lost. There are so many things to get involved in including an awesome Concert Arena where we do plays and concerts that are amazing and make great impact as well as an awesome Teen Ministry and Childrens Church Ministry!! I praise God for Victory Chapel!
