Comment: This church is still a five star after a couple of visits! This past Saturday I discovered that this church has English translation services to translate the service from Spanish to English, so if you are anything like me, who was raised in the USA having experienced a language switch where now English is your dominant language and you don’t feel like you really fit in with Anglo, Black, or super traditional Spanish churches, this is the church for you. Did you know that research supports that there is a widening gap between generations of Latinos just because of primary language loss? Then add the religious and cultural gap, and we have more issues to deal with in our Spanish churches than most people even realize. With their “simple church” concept, where youth involvement is evident from just scanning your eyes across the sanctuary to see young people behind instruments, Audio Visual, or Camera equipment, singing in English and in Spanish, providing live translation services, small group discussion groups, sports and food ministries, the Winter Park SDA Spanish Church is addressing more issues than they even realize! My husband and I are so thrilled to have found this church! We feel like we “fit in.” We want to help. We feel all North American SDA churches need to look at what Winter Park SDA is doing, if we want to retain more of our youth and people like me, now adults second generation Latinos.

Comment: My husband and I have been seeking a church community for years where we feel at home. We have found our home away from home! Instantly we were greeted by two young ladies very warmly. We were so pleased by how modest and beautiful the women looked in their worship. The worship service was uplifting. We sang in English and in Spanish. There was a worship team and various instruments. We loved the balance of the worship service. No platform full of people distracting you while you try to listen to the sermon. No awkward row by row official dismissal. The worship music continued as everyone peacefully gathered their items to leave at their leisure. Community service was evident with Advent Health visiting with their table and resources for the community, and the church’s food bank ministry! Immediately my husband and I connected with community service, and we will be assisting in the food bank. This church appealed to us as English speaking Latinos wanting a balance of our culture without the very old fashion worship style service and with opportunities for service. Thank you Winter Park SDA Spanish church for your amazing work filling a void very much needed these days in our churches and in our communities.

Comment: This is my church since 2002. I love my church family and friends. I have tried other churches but this is where I feel @ home. God has blessed us and our lives changed for the better since 2002. No offense to other churches God is with us all. I miss going to church since this virus is affecting us all. Update going back to church when im not physically hurting is a blessing

Comment: It is a special Church to worship God. A multicultural congregation that relies on love, community service and transformation. There is parking for the physically disabled, food back on Thursdays for the community and I invite you to join them.
